Picture two heat pump installers quoting the same job. One arrives in a clean van with the same branding the homeowner saw on the website last night. The other arrives in a van with the old company name half peeled off and a different logo to the invoice that lands later.
Same price, same certs, same workmanship. Who gets the job? It is not close.
Why it matters more in our trades
A heat pump or a rewire is a big spend, often the biggest a homeowner makes that year. Nobody can inspect the quality of your brazing or your board work in advance, so they judge what they can see: the van, the uniform, the paperwork, the website.
Inconsistency reads as disorganisation. If the visuals do not line up, a small doubt creeps in about whether the workmanship will either. Unfair, but that is how people decide.
You do not need a new fleet
Consistency is cheap. Same logo, same colours, same phone number placement on every vehicle, even if the vans are different models and ages. A good wrap design adapts to each vehicle. The point is that a homeowner who sees your van in Tallaght on Tuesday recognises it in Swords on Thursday.
Every van on the road is a billboard you already paid for. Matching livery just switches it on.
